Computers affected by Viruses are common. Viruses can be affected by using Flash Drives or by downloading files and software's from Websites etc. Antivirus software's are used to protect the PC from virus attacks but we need to pay for a good antivirus.
If you do not have an antivirus installed in your PC and still you need to check and remove viruses you can do that easily by following below steps.
1. Click on Windows + R which opens Run dialogue box
2. Type MRT and click on OK or press Enter
3. A new window will open called "Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool" click on Next
4. Tick on Quick Scan and click Next
5. You computer will start scanning and if there is any virus it will be notified and will be cleaned.
6. Click on Finish once everything is done.
If your PC is having any corrupted files and need to repair you can follow below steps.
1. Search cmd in the search bar and click on Run as administrator under command prompt.
2. Type DISM/online/cleanup-image/Restore Health and press Enter
Wait for the scan to finish.
This operation runs a scan in your computer for corruption and repair problems with the operating system. This function tries to repair the corrupted scanned files automatically. It scans the ongoing operating system for corrupt files and attempts to restore them.
